Congratulations to the Winslow Arts Council for putting on a stellar event for National Blues Day! FABFEST was a big success, with terrific music from Tommy Dukes Blues, tasty food along Kinsley Ave, and gorgeous work from a variety of artists. Plus, the new park lights really make the venue pop. Bravo!
Here’s what’s happening on this hot summer Saturday in Winslow Downtown!YELLOW SNOW! That’s right, your favorite snow cone stand is set up across from the theater until 4pm. Reese is holding a peaches & cream. Also, so nice to see the return of International motorcyclists (this group from Italy), plus, the Winslow Arts Council is busy setting up for tonight’s FABFEST! (Food, Art, Blues) in the Route 66 Plaza. Come enjoy Downtown!

Put on by the Winslow Arts Council. Come check it out, and if you want to read more about Tommy, the link is in the profile!

Flatbed Ford Cafe’s new work-in-progress outdoor dining is looking great! They’re finishing up the final details today. Go check ‘em out and grab some outstanding grub while you’re at it!
Clear Creek mornings never get old.
Ralph and his girl Bentley have known each other 22 years. They and their spouses were all pals. But then Bentley lost her husband and Ralph his wife. One day Ralph asked Bentley if she wanted to go get ice cream in his 1950 Plymouth Woodie Wagon. She did. And now they are in love and cruising the country in the Woodie, logging 8000 miles so far this summer with more to come. Thank you for sharing your beautiful story over dinner and for showing off that beautiful car in Winslow. And yes Bentley, we truly might be hillbilly kin. I feel it. (Scroll to read that story).

Please stop and see us again sometime. Also, huge shout out to Andrew Lowry for helping out with their drivetrain!

As you may know, my maiden name is Bentley. (I’m behind the wheel of my truck). Bentley (the Winslow visitor) was named after her mother’s maiden name. I asked, “Where was she from?” She said, “Kentucky.” I said where in Kentucky? She said, “Letcher county.” Whoa. That’s where my daddy is from. And more little details went on from there. See? We truly might be kin.
