You never know what nature is going to throw at you in the high desert of Arizona. While talking to a nice couple driving their 1948 Plymouth from Chicago to Santa Monica via Route 66 (article coming soon) I noticed the sky darkening over Winslow.
Just as the Plymouth passed over the shield heading to the La Posada, the sky opened up into a full-blown gully-washer. But then just as quickly, the sun came out, the sky went bright blue, the clouds white and puffy.
The action resumed on the corner.
GIANT HAIL IN MAY!!
See it in action in the video below!
And now… the sun is out again. The hail is melting. Life is back to normal. All part of the grand show that is Winslow Arizona.
Until next time…
