August 17th @ 5:30 – Winslow Theater

From Winslow’s Old Trails Museum, a free event celebrating the new documentary series, “Route 66: The Untold Story of Women on the Mother Road,” at the Winslow Theater (115 N. Kinsley Ave) on Wednesday, August 17, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
The program will feature film excerpts and panel discussion at the Winslow Theater, preceded by a 5 pm group photo at the Standin’ on the Corner Park (all are welcome), and followed by a reception at the Flatbed Ford Café (RSVP to the reception by Friday, August 12, at 928-289-5861).
The three-part documentary series explores how women overcame segregation and gender discrimination to build fulfilling lives for themselves and their descendants on America’s most beloved road. The August 17 program will focus on Arizona and feature the personal stories of women in Winslow, Flagstaff, and Seligman.
September 23 – 24 @ 4pm – Eagle Pavillion

Can you believe it’s been 50 years since the Eagles release Take it Easy? Wow! Come celebrate this milestone at the annual Standin’ on the Corner Festival, September 23 and 24th. The 27th annual Just Cruis’n Car Club Car Show on the streets of historic downtown Winslow, Az is heading our way! Two days of fun including a poker run that pays out $1000, a Nitro Cackle, a burnout contest with $1500 on prize money, live music, and don’t forget the actual car show with over 200 entries.
